Some Tipps and Tricks

Here I will give you some tipps and tricks I have learned throughout my 80 hours of playing this game. I got all achievements at around 55hrs in [V 1.2].

Some of you might find these tipps wrong which is okay since everyone has a different playstyle and this is more aiming towards newer players.

Here I did a quick run for the first Victory. I reset all my progress ( save game and World rewards ).

I did a clean run Zero to Victory and another for Master to Victory, enjoy :)

$ is not the money you buy with!
Everything that will give you $ is going into your quota. Credits is the currency that you use to buy Tools, Furniture and so on. You will get a % cut depending on the difficulty. So use your Item request and Items with logic to maximize the progress.

Don't go ham if you are not ready for it.
If you are not familiar with the location, the homeowner and the locations for loot then take it slow. If you are holding a big Item then watch your steps and check if the person hears you or sees you. Every full Hour stop looting and listen / check for people if they change the location and if needed get out of the house.

Use your UI
On the bottom left you have very useful information. The Eye in white says you can be seen and you are in sight of someone. Same goes for the speaker: white you can be heared, there will be a red speaker in the Top-center if you are being heared.


Don't panic
There is no need to go full Husain Bolt mode if someone heared you. Check where the person is and move out of the house / location and use the cover. Most of the time this is enough but you should start running if the cops are called to get out of the searching area.

Rock and Stone!
You can find rocks in various different locations and they are very useful. I collect some rocks and put them near the door so I always have some ready to go. You can use them to smash windows from the distance, distract people or SMASH CAMERAS!

Use Windows as Entry point and not doors
If you don't have access to the door keys then you should use Windows as entry point. Why?

• Homeowner can notice open doors and can call cops.
  
• Doors can be closed and relocked by the homeowners.
  
• Open Windows don't get detected

Fill your Inventory and Hands before leaving the map
In the last 60seconds you should run towards your truck or drop-off box and try to fill your inventory and take a big Item in hand because everything you got on you will be teleported with you. This will allows you to get a bit more items.

Throw big Items through windows and over Walls
You can throw Items through open AND closed windows but you need to stay right infront of it. It will not work if there is something infront of the window. Just go very close and press e.
You can also drop big items over walls(not high walls) by going very close to it and aim a bit over the wall and throw it.


DON'T play on easy
I know that some people find it appealing to play very easy because they might think it is a bit tough to play normal but let me tell you... You make it for worse on yourself. You are reducing chances of good loot / golden cards and reduce your cut therefore reduce the possibilitys of tools / furniture you can buy.

You can smash doors
You can smash doors with your bare hands. It is useful if you knocked them out with sleeping gas and zip tied them. This allows you to enter / exit the house very quickly to maximize loot extracted

Do the challenges!
The challenges provide a really good amount of Credits for mostly no effort. They are a steady source for credits in the early game. They will reset once you finalized a quota.


You can choose the location of the truck
There are 2 different spots for the truck location. Mostly I recommand taking the bottom one except if you want to hit 107 and 103. Just cllick on the left side on one of the pictures.


Getting chased in Co-op
Do not bring NPCs that chase you towards your teammates. The search radius of cops will shift and your teammates might get pawned aswell which can lead to your game over. Run in different directions even if that means one of you has to die.

Check Walls inside the house
I have seen a lot of people not looking at walls therefore missing paintings, clocks, phones and so on.

Crates can be smashed with hands
There are crates around the map that can be smashed for some extra loot inside.



Useful informations at your computer
Your left side monitor is providing some good informations like:

• Skill leaflets: Learned and the gains from it
  
• Golden card bonus: see which golden card you activated and the benefit from them
  
• other informations which are mostly not relevant

Focus small items first
Try to focus small items first until you get comfortable with taking big items. Make sure to fill your inventory before running with a big item since it cost time and reduce your money gain.

Knocked down people drop loot
People who get knocked out sometimes drop loot. If they are about to call the cops they most of the time drop their phone, they also drop a lot of jewelery or wallets. Guards and cops can drop stun guns. You can repeat to knock them down if you got them cuffed for example and they might drop a few items.

Don't buy hints in the location menu
They are useless and you will get the knowledge they provide pretty quickly.

Get big loot out of the house ASAP
Upon entering the building you should try to get big items out there as soon as possible if the situation allows it. BE AWARE IT CAN TRIGGER THE OWNER TO NOTICE MISSING ITEMS (can be cleared with golden card). It is much easier to sneak around and getting the small items but more difficult to get the big ones out. Just take the to a window or throw them right infront of the house so you can collect them later. People don't notice Items laying around.

Get Drop-off boxes
They are super super strong especially with the perk which repairs 50% of the item thrown into. They will sent items which are thrown into the box directly to your truck after around 10-12seconds something like that. If you got comfortable with running inside a house snatching everything you can while sprinting around you will benefit soooo much from them.

If you are infront of a drop-off box and you have some problems getting a big item into it like a bike, just move a bit left or right and drop it.

You can go very close to NPCs
Don't be afraid to test how close you can go or see if you can sneak past someone even if you should be seen. NPCs are not really great in this game and you can test a lot to get more comfortable. Sometimes you can pass someone even tho you should be in sight of someone without them getting triggered.

Drop bananas directly underneath someone
You can go very close to an NPC and just drop it below him to knock him out. It just speeds up the process. BE AWARE the knockout is only very short.



Knocked out people don't get triggered
If you knock someone out you can walk through cameras, motion sensors and so on since they are not able to respond. Don't hesitate to get yourself a fireaxe or gas and go ham as long as they are knocked out.

Once you got the Pistol the game is brainafk
The pistol is super crazy. Just shoot the homeowner and loot. You can sprint and quick open everything. That is why I prefer to save most of my credits for it.

Lost tools refund
The Terminal provides the option to get a refund for 25% of the value for Tools you have lost in a map.


Check your Location menu for completions
You can click the houses in the location menu and it will show you how many loot / jobs you need to fullfill to complete this area. This will provide you with extra $ and EXP. You should save this for the last quoat which is $11500.



Identify Item request Items
If there is a chain left (world) or right (hands) of the name than this item can be submitted for an item request. This chain will dissapear once you submit the request. You should wait with that until the last quota if possible.



Watch the durability of your tools
Tools can be expensive but dirt cheap when being repiared with the workbench.
AC Gas can be used twice before breaking, Zp ties have 2 uses until they break, so you can take 2 zp ties and zp tie 1 person and use the other zip tie for the second to repair them for below 20credits each.

You will acquire knowledge while playing the game but sometimes there is stuff which can be really really helpful in the early game and sometimes will be discovered very late into the game when they become useless.

Checking the Perimeter

Each of the properties have multiple entrys/exists and it is very helpful to check the ways in and out because you could fail a run if you alert a homeowner and or a cop is chasing you.

The first map can be done for the most part with almost no tools ( i recommend a glassknife tho).
If you just started the game or don't have access to skill leaflets which allow you to climb vines or higher fences then these tricks will be very good.

There are 2 Types of Jobs
- At your computer for 3 different difficulty levels
- Payphone in the maps


The payphones are timed events which can offer different jobs like: Knocking out people, stealing marked items or smashing / unlocking marked targets. You must complete these in 2 Minutes or the Job will fail. You will not get a penaltie for failing these so justr accept one and if you can do it then go for it otherwise just let the job run out and take a new one if you got another charge. They offer some $ aswell as EXP. They are not too important so you can just ignore them if you want.





The other ones are at your computer and you can accept 3 (4 with World Reward) and should be done if you can to unlock the next ones. Some of them require you to smash something and can be done within the last 30seconds before the run is over. You can also delay them because the Money gained from them are only applied to your Quota since they only reward $.

I highly recommend you to not immediatly sell your Items because most of the quotas can be fullfilled with money laying around or minimal sales of items / gold cards.

What you should do:
- Sort Items into different categories in your Hideout. I will give you an example with my very powerful paint skills LOL.



I have seperated the Areas into this:
- Yellow is for Items which are just value, meaning they don't serve any purpose except money.
- Cyan: This is an area for furniture wich just give passive bonus.
- Purple: This is for Items which can be used for Item requests.
- White: Here I usualy place my Weed growing rack and my workbench. The hacking table will be placed either right side when entering or underneath the stairs. You can also use the area upstairs for your furniture. Usualy I place every passive furniture there.
- Red: On the shelves I sort between: Credit cards, Gold Cards which I don't want to use, Weed seeds, Locked Items usualy to the left side near the hacking table, skill leaflets and so on.


You can change locations however you like, I just like it that way because I don't need to walk so much with this. If you are playing higher difficulty this mostly becomes irrelevant anyways as soon as you got the Pistol because of the higher Cut and the amount of Items you will be able to acquire.

• Scanner - moneywaste (except if you want to find VIP items)
  
• Drone - Terrible
  
• Stun gun - Don't buy, Pawn Shop + Electronic store owner drop them. They can be useful in the early game but use them rarely.
  
• Crossbow - it is okay especially with the hacking darts but that is about it tbh
  
• Stethoscope . Why use this? You can either speed spin or use blowtorch instead.
  
• Armor Vest - only useful if you are fighting alot or trigger the cops alot
  
• Hacking USB Stick - I only use this for the HEIST to unlock the Crate + Server and if I have
  challenges to unlock electronic.
  
• Thermal goggles - don't buy because you got perception.

• Car Door drill
  
• Bobby pin, Simple lockpick, Glass knife
  
• Zip ties - hella expensive tho. It has 2 uses but if you have 2 pairs on you and use it once then drop it (if you have stacker) then use the other one you can repair them very cheap.
  
• First aid Kit - reviving your teammates and healing yourself
  
• Credit card Stealer - Buy this only if you accumulated a good amount of cards already because you get $ and it cost 2000Credits. If you play normal you get 30% Cut so you need around $6000 worth of credit cards + repair cost to go even.

This tool is 10/10. It gives you 60s invisibility with 180s cooldown. You can do whatever you want in that time. Very very strong.


11/10. Knocks down people for the whole run and you can loot whatever you want in that house. This is especially good when playing on higher difficulty with the cop roaming around. This weapon is very expensive and needs a workbench because of the durability loss.


Has its use before getting to the stronger Items. It does good damage to people and knocks them down very fast.


Very strong tool if you got Advanced electronics. You can disable smoke detector, lasers, open garage doors and more. It will give you access to a lot more buildings and should be used if possible.


11/10. Have it on you all the time. It opens safes decently fast with the cost of the noise. I love this tool and you will most likely love this tool aswell once you gotta use it a few times.


Decently strong but you should only use it twice then repair it because of the high cost. It will trigger smoke detector so you should be careful of it. If you got access to Zip ties it becomes even stronger.


This tool is very expensive and knocks out people only a short amount of time but can give you access to certain spaces / jobs. An example would be 210 in lakeside, drop the banana and smake the toilet and he will not notice it. BE CAREFUL the banana is always active if it is on the ground and YES YOU CAN KNOCK YOURSELF OUT ( in singleplayer that is a death )

While the pistol is absolutely crazy.... The master key topped that even with an solid 12/10.
You save so much time with that and is absolutely worth buying. You should still buy the pistol before the key.

If you don't have the master key or silenced pistol, ladders are actual a really really strong tool. Not so much in Rural street but in Lakeside and for 301 in Rural Arizona. You can go and open windows for buildings you would need Advanced/master lockpick instead

I will make it quick and have my personal ranking as a picture. The image quality is not the best but you can clearly see what they are. Some of these Items will tank higher or lower depending on your personal playstyle and your skill.
E.g. The jammer can be useful if you trigger the cops a lot while the treadmill can rank lower if you don't sprint a lot.

Get the Workbench asap. This will save you extreme amounts of credits for repairing.

You should delay buying the hackertable until you get a decent amount of locked items.
The military receiver is for late game.
You can only heal yourself at the medkit but this can be placed inside your truck.

I have not yet played with the jewelery stuff but they won't make a big difference past mid game anyways.
