Escaping the Leviathan
Be warned that this process may be long-winded, complex and hard to follow. Persevere and you will achieve great success.
Step 1: Get a sea truck with two modules. This is on order to be able to walk around inside the sea truck. You need to remain inside the sea truck when you press the 'exit' (default: E) key.
Step 2: When a leviathan approaches you, press E to step away from the controls of the sea truck. They will then leave you alone.
Got that? Be in a sea truck that you can walk inside, and when a leviathan approaches step away from the controls (but don't physically disembark the vehicle). Works for all hostile fauna.
