Preface
Reaching the peak is the goal of every scout. However, some of us crave for other challenges... A lot of scouts try to speedrun to the peak, but only a few of them try to be the slowest.
Here is the only guide that will give you all the tips you need to survive 100+ days in Peak.


Why would you want to survive a 100+ days in Peak ?
Unemployment ? Lack of friends ? Many reasons could be given to go on such an epic quest.
Major threats
In Peak there are 2 major threats that we have to deal with when talking about surviving a 100+ days.

FOG

The Fog will come after you to freeze you to death.


HUNGER

Surviving a 100+ days means eating a lot in order to not starve to death.
How to survive FOG
Fog is annoying, however it can easily be avoied.

Fod only start rising if you leave the shore and start climbing. So you can spend a lot of days on the shore, chilling and vibing with Bing Bong.

When you start climbing the fog will rise. Don't worry tho. You have enough time to stop and eat the food you might find on your way up.

When you reach the top of a biome, DON'T TOUCH THE CAMPFIRE !
The fog will stop before reaching the campfire. You can spend days eating all the food you have managed to collect. However if you light the campfire the fog will start to rise again, forcing you to continue climbing and wasting some precious resting days.

That's it for the fog.
How to survive HUNGER
There are 4 Major tips in order to optimize your food.

1. Cook your food
Cooking means doubling the efficiency of almost every food.
You can cook your food using a portable stove or when reaching a campfire.
On the shore the burning wing of the airplane can be used as a campfire to cook your food.

2. Eat on the right timing
Each 50 seconds you will lose a hunger point. However eating right before losing a point will delay the actual lose of your next hunger point.
Exemple: let's say we start the game at T=0sec. I should lose my next hunger point at T=50sec. If I eat at T=49sec. it will delay the lose to T=99sec.
If you time it right you can save approx. 1 hunger point each time you eat. On a 100 day run it represents about 10% of the run.

3. Wait until you're really hungry
In Peak each type of food gives a certain amount of hunger points. There is no point in eating a cooked half coconut which gives 8 hunger points, if you are only missing 7 hunger points. There is no saturation level like in Minecraft. Only eat when you really need to.

4. Food generation is kind of random
Each run has his food generation. When you want to start a 100+ days run, make sure to have a lot of food on the shore. Coconuts are the key to a good run.
Step by step
STEP 1.
Collect all the food on the shore.


STEP 2.

Cook it.

STEP 3.

Eat on the right timing to save an extra hunger point each time you eat. (as explained in the "How to survive HUNGER" section)


STEP 4.

When you are getting out of food, start climbing, don't go too fast so you can get starved enough to eat whatever you wouldn't be able to carry with you.


STEP 5.
Once on the top of a biome, only light the campfire when you have no food left to eat.

Step 6.

Repeat

Step 7.

Congrats you have now achieved something nobody expected you to achieve.
