Introduction
There are 55 achievements to collect in DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. None of the achievements can be missed.
As in DEATH STRANDING, you will be delivering items to, or performing actions for, facilities to increase chiral network coverage in a region. You can earn up to a five-star rating from each facility (via Likes) for delivering orders to them. Your rating represents your connection to the facility. There are four types of item delivery that you can make:
- Main orders
- Sub orders
- Standard orders
- Lost cargo
Main orders are orders that progress the main story. These orders must be accepted and successfully delivered or completed to finish the game.
Sub orders are optional orders that also progress the story, but are not required to complete the game. Completing a sub order often provides you with additional rewards beyond Likes. You will need to complete sub orders to get all the achievements.
Standard orders are optional orders that generally provide you with Likes upon delivery or completion. Standard orders can be repeated after a short cooldown. You will need to complete standard orders to get all the achievements. Standard orders begin in Episode 3.
Lost cargo are items that are able to be recovered from the environment and delivered to the intended recipient. You can scan the environment with your Odradek to find lost cargo. Recipients of lost cargo may be facilities that you have not visited before. You will need to find and deliver some lost cargo to get all the achievements.
As in DEATH STRANDING, you will have the option to free roam after completing the main story. During free roam, you can get all your remaining achievements.
New players should complete the game first
If you haven’t played DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH yet, it’s best to stop reading after the introduction and play the game on your own first by completing all main order deliveries.
This guide is divided into:
- Episode Achievements
- During Game Achievements
- Postgame Achievements
You will gain the Episode and During Game achievements by the end of the main story. Once you have completed the main story, you can come back to this guide for help with the remaining Postgame Achievements. One achievement, 🏆 The Real Story of the Ghost Hunter, is only obtainable during the postgame.
You are free to complete sub orders, standard orders, and other optional tasks as you see fit. There is no requirement to take on any specific activities beyond the main orders.
Increasing your connection with facilities can reward you with weapons, equipment, and other upgrades, but these are not required to finish the main story. During the story, you can choose whether (or even if) you want to maximize your connection level with particular facilities. You may find it advantageous to postpone fully connecting every optional facility until the post-game free-roam phase, when you will have access to more equipment and a gameplay mechanic that makes map traversal significantly easier.
See "Tip: connection softcaps exist" for an important note about maximizing connection levels.
Connect your PlayStation Network account
You can earn Trophies in the PlayStation Network for the game while you earn achievements on PC. Simply connect your PlayStation Network account from the main menu. You can access the PlayStation overlay in-game by selecting [Shift + F1].
Tip: avoid "to the wilder" difficulty
"to the wilder" is the game's hardest difficulty. While difficulty generally has no bearing on your technical ability to get all the achievements, getting some of them is much easier on an easier game mode like "Story". Additionally, if you start a game on "to the wilder", you cannot change your difficulty setting in the save file ever again, unlike the other levels.
Given this, it would be a good idea to avoid "to the wilder" when starting a new game. Unless, you'd like a challenge!
Tip: hit your S-Rank requirements as much as possible during Main Orders
While playing the main story, hitting the S-Rank/bonus targets as much as possible for each order will help you with some of the grindier achievements that exist in the game. Pay attention to the requirements highlighted in yellow for each order: you'll need to hit these to get an S-Rank.
For example, Main Order No. 2 [Deliver One or More Remote Medical Units to Villa Libre] for Ciudad Nudo del Norte (C1) has the following requirements:
- Average Contents Damage Target: 5% or less
- Exceptional Quantity Target: 2
This means you need to deliver both cases of XL cargo and not let them incur more than 5% contents damage between them. The higher your difficulty level, the harder it will be to meet these (i.e. Sam will stumble more, lose stamina more quickly, get swept away much more easily, timefall will degrade containers faster, etc.).
You will receive the Legend (L) rank if you are playing on Casual and achieve an S rank. On Normal, you will receive Legend of Legends rank (LoL/LL); on Brutal, the Legend of Legends of Legends (LoLoL/LLL) rank; and on to the wilder, the to the wilder (TTW) rank.
Don't worry about hitting it for every order but trying your best will make some of the final achievements you work on much easier.
Tip: don't use the DHV Magellan
As the game explains, using the DHV Magellan reduces your rating and Likes per order — and this cannot be offset by completing more orders to compensate. For Main Orders and Sub Orders, you will never receive an S-Rank for cargo that travelled on the DHV Magellan, even if you meet the rank targets; you will receive the Magellan rank. Because of this, never use the DHV Magellan to transport cargo, even if you aren't travelling with the DHV Magellan yourself. It should only be used to travel to new locations without cargo, or to access its on-demand facility terminal.
You can use the DHV Magellan while on order to travel to new locations as long as you aren't carrying any cargo for the active order.
Tip: scan for Lost Cargo often
When travelling and completing orders, always try to scan for lost cargo and pick it up when you see it, especially if you are already travelling to a destination and see lost cargo addressed to that destination. You will absolutely need to find and return lost cargo to every destination to maximize your connection. Again, don't use the DHV Magellan: lost cargo transported on it receives an even harsher likes penalty than main and standard orders.
Introduction (continued)
Tip: connection softcaps exist
For some facilities and preppers, progression on their connection level/stars is restricted to completing specific Main Orders and/or Sub Orders. Often, this is for story or player experience reasons. This can result in an unintuitive quirk that sees you getting very little star progression for large deliveries. If you find that this is the case for you, it is highly likely that there is a story or sidequest mission that you haven't done yet that will unlock the connection softcap. (If you do hand in a lot of orders and are worried you've lost likes: you haven't. They're banked and will be awarded when you take whatever action unlocks the softcap.)
If you are interested, you can see the softcap in action by delivering lost cargo to a facility that is unlocked by delivering a Main or Sub Order you haven't completed yet. When you do this, APAS will accept the order and provide you with likes, not the facility representative or prepper. In these cases, the stars are softcapped to >1 -- you cannot ever get the first star without delivering the triggering Main or Sub Order, no matter how much lost cargo you deliver.
You can avoid all of this by saving your efforting on maximizing connection levels until you have completed all the Main Orders (i.e. the main story) and Sub Orders. Completing achievements during the postgame in the order presented in this guide will make sure you don't run into the softcaps. While increased connection levels do reward you with additional and improved resources, none are too critical to your successful completion of the game or the achievements. But, it's up to you!
Separately, but related, if delivering multiple orders to the same destination, don't hand them all in at once, as you generally can't pass more than one star milestone per delivery action*. A reliable approach is to hand in all but one or two pieces of cargo, then submit the remaining items separately. As your likes are banked, you will cash in on your initial lot in subsequent delivery actions.
*Some online resources say that you can't earn more than one star per delivery in any case. This is not true: rarely, some facilities will award more than one star in a single delivery. However, it's generally a good rule of thumb to split up bulk orders to avoid running into it.
While this guide includes lists of orders for relevant achievements where necessary, you can find a full list of Main Orders, Sub Orders, and Standard Orders in my other guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3687975531

Postgame Achievements
These achievements are earned by performing certain actions, or sequence of actions, in game. You may have completed some of these during the game.
📝 Postgame achievements are listed in a suggested completion order for maximum efficiency. Start from the top and work your way down!
Finding all facilities early will help with the remaining achievements, as their orders will appear more readily and you'll have a clearer picture of who and where everyone is.
Note that some facilities won't join the chiral network immediately upon discovery — you may need to deliver more cargo or complete certain Sub Orders first. Some will also connect naturally while working on other achievements. For example, The Ghost Hunter joins the chiral network during 🏆 The Headless Riders Unmasked.
Given this, while this achievement — to connect them all to the chiral network — may not be earned until either a later achievement or 🏆 Connecting Hearts and Minds, it will still be worthwhile to get all the facilities on your map and generating orders, if you haven't already.

Over time, structures will become damaged. Structures in need of repair by you will be marked with a yellow hammer icon. Contribute the required materials (usually, Chiral Crystals) to repair the structure and earn this achievement.
Gate Quakes tend to cause the most damage to structures.
You may earn this achievement by the end of a regular playthrough, however, PlayStation trophy statistics indicate that more players finish the game without it than with it, which is why it is included here.
You don't need to worry about it if you haven't got it: you will earn it naturally while working on the other achievements.
You can submit an aid request by way of placing a sign that will appear in other players' worlds. To do this, press [2] (KBM) or D-pad down (C) to open the Signs menu and select Online Aid Requests.
If you are playing offline, you can get this achievement by placing a request near an upgradeable structure.
After meeting The Musician in Episode 3, you can use the Music Player. Enter your private room aboard the DHV Magellan and play the song "Horizon Dreamer" on the music player.
Dollman will begin dancing, at which point, you may talk to him. He will ask if Sam as a moment to spare, to which you should reply "Just a quick one". After a cutscene, the achievement will be awarded.
In you private room in any facility excluding the DHV Magellan, interact with the screen opposite of the bed to change the image that is displayed on the screen. Choose a photo you took in Photo Mode to gain the achievement.
To enter Photo Mode, press F8 (KBM) or touchpad button (C) while in the environment.
You will earn this achievement while working on 🏆 Connecting Hearts and Minds, specifically, Sub Order No. 121 [Rescue the Adventurer Who Vanished into Thin Air] for The Adventurer.

Postgame Achievements (continued)
Porters Make the World Go Round
To earn this achievement, you need to take an item from one of the NPC porters that wander the map, and you need to give them an item. Porters begin spawning after completing Main Order No. 12 [Investigate the Unusual Tar Currents near F1] for The Musician. They are often seen around the entrances to major facilities, like distribution centers.
Approach a porter and wait until they extend an item toward you, then grab it with your hands. Next, open Cargo Management, select an item, and drop it nearby. Once they pick it up, the achievement will be awarded.
Be aware that they will not accept standard delivery items—only equipment such as tools or weapons will work.
Conqueror of the Golden CC
By now, you would have encountered chiral creatures (CCs). These are swarms of small, tar-covered beings that take the form of various animals, including rodents, spiders, eels, and bats. Some CCs will become collectively aggressive when one creature of the herd is damaged while others will become aggressive without provocation. CCs can self-detonate, causing damage and injuries.
Rarely, a fully golden version of the chiral rodent will appear among swarms of other rodents. They will disappear when approached, so defeating it requires engagement from a distance. Wearing the Chiral Rodent Hat from The Metagenomicist has no effect on the golden CC: it will disappear when you get close even if you are wearing it. Once one golden chiral rodent is defeated, you will unlock this achievement.
The spawn location and rate for the golden CC is random. Swarms of CCs tend to be found in areas with significant tar deposits and near mines. You can keep checking the swarms near the Animal Shelter or the South Edge Mine.
Creature Comforter
In [Order 15: Deliver Test Subject Kangaroo to Animal Shelter] in Episode 4, you will be introduced to capturing animals in the environment for the Animal Shelter.
While exploring Australia, scan the environment with your odradek to highlight animals that can be captured. Capture an animal by running or sneaking up to it, and pressing [KEY] when prompted to store it in an Animal Carrier. With the animal in your cargo, travel to the Animal Shelter and deliver it to earn the achievement. You can also Entrust the animal to another porter, but the achievement won't unlock until you travel to Animal Shelter and speak with the staff to trigger the entrusted delivery.
Be careful when carrying animals, because they are considered fragile cargo and can take damage.
Some orders require you to deliver animals. As mentioned in the achievement description, these do not count for the achievement.
You can complete this achievement while working on 🏆 Rare Specimen Rescuer.
Rare Specimen Rescuer
This achievement is the same as 🏆 Creature Comforter, but you will need to specifically look for and capture one of four, rare albino varieties of animal.
The easiest to find is the albino kangaroo which is located in the southwest corner of the red desert (northwest of The Data Scientist). The kangaroo is XXL cargo, so you may wish to store other cargo or items. Deliver the kangaroo to the Animal Shelter, or entrust it to another porter at any facility and visit the Animal Shelter, to unlock the achievement.
You can also find these albino animals across the map:
- Wombat: On the beach behind South Fort Knot (F6).
- Emu: On the beach below the cliffs at the Plate Gate.
- Platypus: Under a broken bridge on the road heading south from the F7 Northern Distribution Center.
- Quokka: Near the beach close to The Western Environmental Observatory.
- Koala: On a small island that has a traditional Japanese gate below the cliffs at the Plate Gate (near the White Emu).
- Lyrebird: At the top of the mountain where the Savanna Mine is located, beyond several traditional Japanese gates.
- Tasmanian Devil: On the beach beyond the Mine Near F3 Crater.
- Echidna: On the mid-level of the cliffs near Heartman's Lab.
- Bilby: On the beach near the Mine North of F1.
The animals will respawn a few days after being captured.
Written in the Stars
While in a hot spring at night, look up at the sky. You will need to scan the constellations and find one to unlock this achievement.
You can build a hot spring as part of 🏆 Spring into Life.
Spring into Life
After completing Main Order No. 26 [Recover Old BB Pod from the Armed Survivalists' Base] for The Data Scientist, a hot spring will appear near The Motherhood.
Enter the hot spring and, when prompted, choose to put a bucket on Sam's head. When you do this, any gear you are carrying will be stored in a private locker at the hot spring.
After a cutscene, you will receive the schematics for the Hot Spring Digger, which can only be constructed with a PCC Lv 2 or PCC Lv 3.
To unlock this achievement, you will need to construct a hot spring with the Hot Spring Digger. The digger will only work in certain locations on the map. The best time to construct the spring is right after receiving the schematic, as it is near your current location on a mountain ridge, rougly halfway between Heartman's Lab and The Dowser. There will be an aid request from The Hydrologist to guide you towards the correct location. Via your ring terminal, select Aid Requests, find their request, and select Place Marker so you can find the dig spot easily.
Once there, construct the Hot Spring Digger with a PCC Lv 2 or PCC Lv 3. Use the Hot Spring to travel back to The Hydrologist to receive a gift, then use her Hot Spring to travel back to the hot spring near The Motherhood to collect your stored items.
At any of the hot springs, you can complete 🏆 Written in the Stars at night.
Postgame Achievements (continued)
Dig, Dig, Dig!
Mines are first unlocked after completing Main Order No. 13 [Restore the Monorail and Deliver Special Alloys to F1] for Western Environmental Observatory. There are nine mines across the map, each specializing in the production of a specific raw material that can be obtained in exchange for chiral crystals:
- Smoke Hill Mine (Ceramics)
- Mine North of F1 (Chemicals)
- Twin Valley Mine (Chemicals)
- Mine Near F3 Crater (Resins)
- Northeastern Mine (Metals)
- Savanna Mine (Special Alloys)
- Mine North of Tar Lake (Ceramics)
- Mine North of F6 (Resins)
- South Edge Mine (Metals)
There's no need to specifically focus on this achievement. You will unlock two mines while working on 🏆 Rail Restorer and another mine while working on maximizing your connection with Western Environmental Observatory (as part of 🏆 Connecting Hearts and Minds).
Rail Restorer
Similar to Auto-Pavers for roads, 33 Tracklayers are located throughout the map that will build sections of monorail when enough materials (Resins, Special Alloys, and Chiral Crystals) are inserted into them. Other players will contribute materials to Tracklayers in your world, either in full or in part. For this achievement, you will need to restore one full monorail line. There are three monorail lines: the Northwest Line, the East Coast line, and the Trans-Crater Line.
The easiest monorail line to restore is the Northwest Line, as you will partially re-construct this line when completing main orders. The Northwest Line connects West Fort Knot (F1), Mine North of F1, F2 South Distribution Center, and Mine Near F3 Crater. The following Tracklayers need to be rebuilt to complete this line:
- West Fort Knot (F1)
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW01-01
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW01-02
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW01-03
- Mine North of F1 (Chemicals)
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW02-01
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW02-02
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW02-03
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW02-04
- F2 South Distribution Center
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW03-01
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW03-02
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW03-03
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW03-04
- Tracklayer AUS-RAIL-NW03-05
- Mine Near F3 Crater (Resins)
So YOU'RE the Pizza Chef!
You will meet The Pizza Chef during Main Order No. 24 [[Chilled] Deliver the Beach Yeast to the Pizza Chef] for Heartman's Lab.
After completing Main Order No. 25 [[Keep Flat/Express] Deliver a Piping Hot Pizza to the Data Scientist] for The Pizza Chef, you will have access to Sub Order No. 105 [[Keep Flat/Express] Deliver a Piping Hot Pizza to the Data Scientist] for The Pizza Chef that you will need to complete.
After completing Main Order No. 28 [Extract Data from the Weapons Fabricator and Destroy Them, Then Bring the Data Back to the DHV Magellan in the Ring Terminal Expansion Device] for DHV Magellan, you will need to retrieve a piece of lost cargo called "Pizza Chef's Misanga" that can be delivered to The Pizza Chef.
The lost cargo can be retrieved from either of the enemy camps northeast of The Pizza Chef or east of The Data Scientist.
Once you have retrieved "Pizza Chef's Misanga", return to The Pizza Chef to deliver it. You should bring weapons with you!
BT's Best Friend
After completing Main Order No. 33 [Deliver Timefall-Resistant Emu to the Metagenomicist] for The Chronobiologist in Episode 8, you will unlock the EX Capture Grenade which is craftable at a facility or on the DHV Magellan.
As explained in the game, the EX Capture Grenade allows you to "capture" any Catcher (a large BT) that has been sufficiently weakened. To weaken a Catcher, simply fight it normally until its yellow health bar turns red (around 25% health remaining). Then, equip and throw the EX Capture Grenade at the Catcher. If the grenade doesn't work, do a little more damage to the Catcher, then try again. Your hit rate can improve slightly by aiming for the Catcher's mouth, but it is not required.
Once captured, the Catcher will leave behind a special white-colored chiral crystal that will give you the ability to summon the captured BT during a battle.
Catchers are the large, aggressive form of BT that appear when Sam is dragged away by gazers. They generate a dynamic arena of thick tar, within which remnants of old buildings, vehicles, and debris constantly rise and sink unpredictably.
To find a Catcher, travel to a BT area and let yourself be dragged away by a Gazer. Alternatively, you will face a Catcher that you will capture as part of 🏆 Showdown at the Tar Lake. However, that achievement requires fighting a large BT that might be easier with some captured BTs already in your arsenal.
Postgame Achievements (continued)
Showdown at the Tar Lake
🥀 Consider dropping your difficulty for this achievement.
ℹ️ This achievement involves a boss fight.
⚙️ Recommended gear: EX Capture Grenades (1 required), Multi-Rocket Launchers, Machine Guns, Blood Bags, Coffin Board
This achievement requires you to complete Sub Order No. 117 [Defeat the Lord of the Tar Lake] for The Fisherman. This Sub Order can be found by levelling your connection with The Fisherman to four stars. The Fisherman can be unlocked by completing Sub Order No. 116 [Sub Order 116: Deliver All Stranded Ship's Cargo to the Fisherman] for F5 East Distribution Center.
Stage 1: Fight the large BT with an EX Capture Grenade
The Fisherman has learned that the Lord of the Tar Lake can be lured out using a large BT as bait.
Travel to the Sub Order Destination which is a BT zone in the northeastern desert. After being dragged away by a Gazer BT, you will encounter a Catcher called Delphis. Delphis has the appearance of a dolphin. You will need to fight Delphis until its yellow health bar turns red (around 25% health remaining). Delphis does not have a lot of health, so be careful not to accidentally kill it outright. Once its health bar is red, throw an EX Capture Grenade at its head, ideally, in its mouth to capture it. Once captured, the Catcher will leave behind a special white-colored chiral crystal that will give you the ability to summon Delphis during a battle. Collect the crystal from the ground.
Stage 2: Fight the Lord of the Tar Lark
Travel back to The Fisherman, then use a Coffin Board to travel across the Tar Lake to the area marked on the map. You will need to summon Delphis by selecting the crystal in your weapons wheel while in the correct location on the lake. The environment will change slightly when you reach the correct location.
Upon summoning Delphis, a large BT – the Lord of the Tar Lake – will appear. The Lord will use tracking projectiles and will dive under the tar to attack – the tar will glow green when it is about to emerge.
Delphis will eventually die to the Lord. As with other large BTs, if you have other captured Catchers available for use, it's a good idea to summon them so they can take its attention while you deal damage.
Once the Lord's health bar is red, throw an EX Capture Grenade into its mouth and collect its white chiral crystal.
Return to The Fisherman to complete the Sub Order and max out your connection with the facility.
The Real Story of the Ghost Hunter
This achievement can only be earned during the postgame.
With the Drawbridge Q-pid enabled, travel to The Ghost Hunter. Interact with his terminal to earn the achievement. The Drawbridge Q-pid must be enabled: the reason why should now be obvious!
The Headless Riders Unmasked
🥀 Consider dropping your difficulty for this achievement.
You can begin working on this achievement in Episode 8 by taking on Sub Order No. 109 [[Breakable Cargo] Deliver Proof of an Attack to the Ghost Hunter] for The Chronobiologist. The Ghost Hunter is located at the base of the mountain that The Chronobiologist is on. Zip lines and floating carriers may assist you with travelling to the destination with this cargo.
ℹ️ The Ghost Hunter will not be accessible in the postgame with the Drawbridge Q-pid enabled. Turn it off to access The Ghost Hunter's facility.
The Ghost Hunter will have Sub Order No. 110 [[Elimination] Uncover the Identity of the Headless Riders and Remove the Threat] immediately available for you to take on. Accept the order and travel to the marked location with a Tri-Cruiser. A Tri-Cruiser is required. You should also bring weapons and Blood Bags.
If you arrive during the day, you'll need to pass time until nightfall. At night, travel to the red Auto-Paver. On approach, you will enter a minigame that requires you to eliminate the boss Headless Rider who is illuminated in blue, along with other ghost riders. There will be a few waves of ghost riders until the boss spawns. Defeat the boss rider and any remaining ghost riders to earn the achievement, end the minigame and return to the map.
Report back to The Ghost Hunter to complete the Sub Order and increase your connection with the facility.
Postgame Achievements (continued)
Savior of Terminal Fort Knot
🥀 Consider dropping your difficulty for this achievement.
This achievement is earned by completing Sub Order No. 114 [Save F8 from a Voidout] for The Ghost Hunter, which itself has a series of prerequisites.
1. Complete 🏆 The Headless Riders Unmasked
You need to complete the Sub Orders (109 and 110) listed in the notes for that achievement before you can continue.
2. Complete Sub Order No. 111
You will need to complete Sub Order No. 111 [Rescue the Child Crying in the Bushfire Zone] for The Ghost Hunter. Go to the marked location in the bushfire zone near the Data Scientist and complete the order.
3. Complete Sub Order No. 112
You will need to deliver the cargo you obtained in Sub Order No. 111 to the Animal Shelter to complete Sub Order No. 112 [Deliver the Lyrebird Sam Rescued to the Animal Shelter] for The Ghost Hunter.
4. Complete Standard Orders for The Ghost Hunter
You need to raise your connection with The Ghost Hunter to 3.8 stars to unlock the next requisite Sub Order. Navigate to Orders in the menu and switch to the Search tab to find orders going to The Ghost Hunter. Facilities with Standard Orders for The Ghost Hunter include:
- The Pioneer
- The Chronobiologist
- The Phantom Smith
- Eastern Environmental Observatory
5. Complete Sub Order No. 113
After earning around 3.8 stars with The Ghost Hunter, he will submit Sub Order No. 113 [[Breakable Cargo] Uncover the Mystery of the Moving House and Recover the Rusty Chiral Crystals] for The Ghost Hunter.
ℹ️ This Sub Order involves a boss fight.
⚙️ Recommended gear: EX Capture Grenade, Multi-Rocket Launchers, Machine Guns, Blood Bags
Travel to the marked location and scan for the rusty chiral crystals. When you find them, grab two of them in your hands, rather than putting them on your back. A large BT will spawn as you pick them up, and you can drop them more easily when they're handheld to avoid them getting damaged.
You do not actually need to fight the large BT. You can simply drop the cargo and run away out of the BT area. When the large BT despawns, you can run back and collect the required cargo.
If you do wish the fight the large BT, fight it like any other, but be aware that getting grabbed by it is an instant game over. As with other large BTs, if you have other captured Catchers available for use, it's a good idea to summon them so they can take its attention while you deal damage. You can also capture it with an EX Capture Grenade when its health reaches critical.
6. Connect Terminal Fort Knot (F8) to the chiral network
You will need to complete Main Order No. [Deliver the Drawbridge Terminal Unit to F8] for DHV Magellan in Episode 12.
7. Complete Standard Orders for The Ghost Hunter
You need to raise your connection with The Ghost Hunter to 4.8 stars to unlock the next requisite Sub Order. Navigate to Orders in the menu and switch to the Search tab to find orders going to The Ghost Hunter.
8. Capture some large BTs (optional)
To make the next step easier, capture some large BTs (Catchers) with an EX Capture Grenade.
As explained in the game, the EX Capture Grenade allows you to "capture" any Catcher that has been sufficiently weakened.
However, that achievement requires fighting a large BT that might be itself might be easier with some captured BTs already in your arsenal.
8. Complete Sub Order No. 114
At some point, The Ghost Hunter will send you a message on the SSS that Terminal Fort Knot (F8) is about to be struck by a voidout. He will submit Sub Order No. 144 [Save F8 from a Voidout] for The Ghost Hunter, which is available from his terminal.
Travel to the marked location; a Coffin Board can help you access the marker more easily. Step into the tar and approach the building.
A human-like Catcher will spawn. Use Machine Guns on the smaller BTs that it summons and Rocket Launchers on the Catcher's head. If you run out of weapons, take some that are thrown by the friendly BTs. If you have captured BTs in your arsenal, use any of them to distract the Catcher while you deal damage to it.
The achievement will unlock when you defeat the Catcher. Report back to The Ghost Hunter to complete the Sub Order.

Master Builder
You will need to build all of the structures in the game at least once. Some are constructed using a Portable Chiral Constructor (PCC) within the chiral network. Others must be fabricated at a facility terminal—and for those, you also need to place them in the world for them to count.
You can check what structures you need to build in Structure Records under Gameplay Statistics.

Seasoned Porter
You need to complete 10 unique orders of each type: you can't do the same order multiple times and have them all count.
Your difficulty must be set to at least Casual before accepting the order.
You can check how many orders you've completed of each type, and find new orders to complete, in the Search tab of the orders menu. The Orders list itself will show what rank you earned on any re-issued order that you've already completed.
Tips for earning an S-Rank for each type
For deliveries, you need to deliver nearly the maximum amount of cargo items ordered and keep the average contents and container damage percentage under 5%. If an order has additional requirements (e.g. timed, keep chilled, keep flat), those need to be met, too. Missing any of these will degrade the rank.
For recoveries, you need to bring back nearly the maximum amount of cargo items ordered and keep the average contents and container damage percentage under 5%. If an order has additional requirements, those need to be met, too. Missing any of these will degrade the rank.
For eliminations/destructions, you need to minimize the amount of damage you take. Unfortunately, the range of "acceptable damage" is different between orders. Report back to the facility that submitted the order as soon as you can: if you take damage on the way back, it will count as on-order damage.
ℹ️ Save your game as soon as you accept the order — that way, if you fail to meet the requirements, you can reload and try again from the start. If you deliver the order, it will be unavailable to reattempt for six hours (without the "Faster Order Preparation" enhancement from APAS).
List of elimination/destruction standard orders
Elimination and destruction orders can be harder to find than other order types, so here is a full list of their standard orders for reference. Like all standard orders, they aren't always available and may have prerequisite orders that must be completed first.

Connecting Hearts and Minds
ℹ️ Make this one of the final achievements you work on.
You will need to maximize your connection level with all 42 preppers and facilities across Mexico and Australia by completing their orders. This includes completing all Main Orders, Sub Orders, several Standard Orders, and retrieving Lost Cargo for them.
Main orders are orders that progress the main story. These orders must be accepted and successfully delivered or completed to finish the game.
Sub orders are optional orders that also progress the story, but are not required to complete the game. Completing a sub order often provides you with additional rewards beyond Likes.
Standard orders are optional orders that generally provide you with Likes upon delivery or completion. Standard orders can be repeated after a short cooldown. Standard orders begin in Episode 3.
Lost cargo are items that are able to be recovered from the environment and delivered to the intended recipient. You can scan the environment with your Odradek to find lost cargo. Recipients of lost cargo may be facilities that you have not visited before.

Tip: complete the game and do the other achievements first
Working on this achievement should really be one of the last things that you do in DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. By finishing the game and doing the other achievements, you won't be battling story or mission prerequisites. You will need to do every Sub Order for this achievement, and the other achievements will take you through completing those. The only achievement you don't have to work on before this one is 🏆 A Premier Porter, which is up next.
Connecting Hearts and Minds (cont.)
Tip: complete every Sub Order first
Sub Orders can act as progression markers for orders and facilities themselves. If you've completed all the other achievements, you'll have completed most of these already. If you haven't completed the other achievements, you should do so, because those achievements often contain tips and guidance for these Sub Orders.
You will generally want, and some cases, need, to complete this list in order.

Some Sub Orders can be difficult. You can complete Sub Orders on "Story" mode to make them easier (or not, if you like a challenge!).
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3687975531
[Sub Order No. 124] for Mr. Impossible has a Target Completion Time Target of 45 minutes and an Average Contents Damage Target of 5% or less to earn the maximum number of likes for completing the order. This can be tricky to accomplish, so here are some tips:
- View the order details and plan your route but don't accept the order.
- Choose to either: clear out the Brigands camp first before accepting the order and without resting, or, equip Climbing Power Gloves and grab the required cargo while dodging attacks.
- - For the latter option, ensure you are driving a Pickup Off-Roader with adequate defences (e.g. electrical shields). There are two cargo locations that will require you to exit your truck to collect the cargo, so prepare accordingly.
- In both cases, it is ideal to have all roads built and fully upgraded to Lv. 2.
As always, you don't have to complete the order on a tricky difficult and you don't have to strive for an S-Rank: completing the order is enough!
Delivering lost cargo will also help you complete 🏆 A Premier Porter.
Tip: use order search
Open your ring terminal and select Orders. Switch to the Search tab to look for open orders filtered by the destinations that you still need to max out.
Tip: don't deliver everything at once
If delivering multiple orders to the same destination, don't hand them all in at once — you can only earn one star per delivery action. Since it's not possible to earn more than two stars at once anyway, a reliable approach is to hand in all but one order together, then submit the last one separately.
Do Standard Orders
Now, it's just a case of doing standard orders to gain Likes until you reach five stars with every facility. You can equip the "Faster Order Preparation" enhancement from APAS to make standard order reappear more quickly.
Postgame Achievements (continued)
A Premier Porter
ℹ️ Make this the last achievement you work on.
Your "porter grades" is the multi-colored star that you see when submitting an order for delivery. It is an assessment of your performance since the last order you submitted, including times when you don't have an active order being worked on. There are five categories that you're graded on:
- Porter
- Combat
- Stealth
- Servicemanship
- Bridge Link
By the time you come to work on this achievement at the very end of your journey with DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH, you will have very advanced grades in each category. If you need to close the gap on any of them, here's what each category looks at:
Category
Notes
Porter
This category looks at your ability to deliver cargo: in short, the more the better. Heavy, big orders earn you a higher grade. Any order contributes. By this point, completing 🏆 Connecting Hearts and Minds would have gotten this quite high. If in the unlikely event you still haven't hit grade 40, find some big orders and deliver them.
Combat
This category looks at the enemies you've overcome. All enemies count for this grade. If you need to bump this one up, fight some Ghost Mechs (with the Drawbridge Q-pid off!), some BTs, or liberate an enemy camp and return found cargo to their owners.
Stealth
This category looks at the stealth actions you've performed. This includes recovering lost cargo from hostile areas without being detected and eliminating enemies without being detected. For the former, use SL weapons for human targets and cut umbilical cords for BTs. Recovering cargo from a MULE postbox without being detected will also improve your Stealth grade.
Servicemanship
Helping others is the way here! Respond to aid requests from other players, pick up and return lost cargo to facilities and preppers, or contribute materials to structures in need of repairs.
Bridge Link
This grade relates to your connection with the world. Place structures in high-traffic areas, rebuild roads and upgrade them, upgrade other players' structures and equipment, leave helpful signs, or donate materials to shared lockers. APAS enhancements like Extended Like Window and Sharing Boost can help you with this category. If you are playing offline, you can still reach grade 40 by contributing materials to existing structures (e.g. roads and mines).
H-mo Liberans: The Savior of Humanity
You will earn this achievement when you complete all the other achievements.
