General Achievements
In this section all general achievements are listed.
Leader Augustus
Momentos
Civica Corona (Level 2 Augustus)
Merchants Saddle (Level 5 Ibn Battuta)
Civilization
1. Rome
2. Mongolia (requires improvement of 3 horse resources or train 3 siege units)
3. Any (Inconsequential)
In the early game you should prioritize heavy scouting so you can find high quality settlement spots (gain contested resources and natural wonders). Increase your settlement cap by researching civics and whenever possible settle new towns to increase your yields (and get 3 horses to unlock Mongolia).
As Mongolia you will eventually have a +4 bonus to your settlement cap through civics. Also you have very strong cavalry units to either easily defend yourself or even go on the offensive. As a cost the settler production is nerfed - but buying settlers costs the same, so you do not need to build them in the cities as your towns should provide enough gold for it. As Mongolia you can also easily achieve all milestones in the military legacy path.
With a good start in the Antiquity Age it is possible to eliminate every other civilization before the end of the Exploration Age.
During your game you should aim for an overabundance of happiness globally, as this will allow you to tank happiness penalties from war weariness. It also allows you to expand past your settlement cap and continue producing high yields. Happiness can be abundant through using the Trade Town Specialization with many resources.
Increase Settlement Cap
The settlement cap can be further increased in the following ways:
Recommended World Wonders
For a high settlement startegy building the following World Wonders is recommended:
Antiquity Age
Recommended Legacies
You should aim to get Fealty (militaristic legacy) followed by Expansionist, Economic, Scientific, Diplomatic, and Cultural Attribute Points.

Fast Modern Leader Wins
For this guide we will be rushing Modern Age victories for each leader such that you do not need to spend several hours to get each achievement. This technique takes around 25 minutes (less than 20 turns) per leader.
IMPORTANT Use the "Save Config" button to save this configuration, allowing you to load it as any other leader saving you setup time.
As our only opponent we choose Himiko, Queen of Wa as Siam because they do not have any military bonuses and have a start bias to spawn closer to other players and a dimplomacy and cultural focus.
Colanda and Tizona (Level 24 Foundation)
When loading in the advanced start, choose 6 Towns and 2 Cavalry Armies and place them near the oil and silver resources with freshwater access.
It is recommended to settle in a ring fromm the north west to the north east as your opponent will always spawn across the continent to the north west (see also picture).

Use your wildcard and militaristic attribute points (depends on leader) to go down the militaristic leader pathway all the way to the final repeatable tech. This will provide you with an additional promotion on your three commanders.
With leader attributes you will have at least 4 promotions on each of your commanders. Use these to unlock the left side of the assault tree and get the +5 combat strength commendation. Use any excess points on the first point of maneuver followed by two points in logistics to hold 6 units. In total this will provide:
Immediately denounce your opponent to reduce relations and reduce war weariness when you declare war.
Choose any traditions or policies that increase gold or happiness. Convert all your towns to the Mining Town Focus and set yoiur capital to only produce hussars. Use any gold in your treasury to buy hussars in the northern town to send them to the front lines.
Send one commander west and then north, and the rest of the army and commanders to the north then north-west.

Only declare war if your units are in position. Because we are playing on Scribe with a very powerful army, we can just slam units until we win, but here are some more tips to make your victory faster:
Our fastest time for victory was within 12 turns (~10-15 Minutes).

STEP 02: Leader and Civ Choice
Choose Prussia as your civilization because the unique cavalry unit Hussar provides bonus combat strength for each unused movement. This allows us to steamroll the single opponent and claim victory. As our only opponent we choose Himiko, Queen of Wa as Siam because they do not have any military bonuses and have a start bias to spawn closer to other players and a dimplomacy and cultural focus.

STEP 03: Gameplan and Strategy
When loading in the advanced start, choose 6 Towns and 2 Cavalry Armies and place them near the oil and silver resources with freshwater access.
It is recommended to settle in a ring fromm the north west to the north east as your opponent will always spawn across the continent to the north west (see also picture).

Use any excess points on the first point of maneuver followed by two points in logistics to hold 6 units. In total this will provide:
- +2 combat strength for all infantry units attacking in the command radius
- +3 combat strength for all cavalry units attacking in the command radius
- +5 combat strength for all cavalry and infantry units when attacking at full health
- +5 combat strength for all units in the command radius
- Units can move when unpacking
Immediately denounce your opponent to reduce relations and reduce war weariness when you declare war.
Choose any traditions or policies that increase gold or happiness. Convert all your towns to the Mining Town Focus and set yoiur capital to only produce hussars. Use any gold in your treasury to buy hussars in the northern town to send them to the front lines.

Only declare war if your units are in position. Because we are playing on Scribe with a very powerful army, we can just slam units until we win, but here are some more tips to make your victory faster:
- move commanders tactfully, commanders are stopped by any rough or vegetated terrain, and lose all movement when unpacking
- spend a turn moving the hussars into a good position then spend the next turn attacking to get the +4 combat strength for unused movement
- always keep the cities and do not raze them as this will increase your war weariness.
Our fastest time for victory was within 12 turns (~10-15 Minutes).
Legacy Paths
Legacy Paths are tracking your progress during an age. Getting milestones and completing legacy paths will lead to the age coming to a close sooner. I will describe what these legacy paths are and how to get them.
Antiquity Age
Cultural Legacy Path
In order to gain all milestones in the cultural legacy path of the antiquity age you have to house 7 World Wonders in your empire. World wonders built by your opponents before you conquered their settlement will NOT count towards the milestones.
Economic Legacy Path
In order to get all economic legacy path milestones of the antiquity you have to assign 20 resources to your settlement. It does not matter if you assign those resources to cities or towns - both count.
Militaristic Legacy Path
In order to get all milestones in the militaristic legacy path of the antiquity you need to have a total of 12 towns or cities in your empire (under your control). However, conquered settlements from opponents count as 2 for the total.
Scientific Legacy Path
In order to get all milestones in the scientifc legacy path of the antiquity, you have to display 10 codices in your cities. You can get codices the following ways:
- researching mastery techs (like mathematics mastery gives you 2 codices)
- research techs in the culture tree
- random narrative events
- Becoming Sucerain of a Scientific City State (once worldwide)
Exploration Age
Cultural Legacy Path
In order to get all milestones in the cultural legacy path of the exploration age you have to display 12 Relics in your empire. These relics can be generated based on what religious believes you chose (like converting opponent's settlement that contains a World Wonder gives you 2 relics). Relics can be placed in shrines and the palace as well as some World Wonders.
Economic Legacy Path
To achieve all milestones in the economic legacy path of the exploration age, one has to ship 30 treasure resources from the distant lands to the homelands. Treasure resources are highlighted as such. Once a coastal city in the distant lands is working such a resource it will passively produce a treasure ship. This treasure ship will spawn at the city in the water and has to be maneuvered towards your home continent(s). Once within the boundaries of any city you can unload the cargo and you will get a point towards the milestone for each treasure resource shipped this way.
If a city has for example 4 resource tiles of chocolate (which is your treasure resource in this case) the treasure ship will contain these 4 resources and you will get 4 points towards the economic legacy path, once you shipped it to your homelands.
Militaristic Legacy Path
In order to get all milestones in the militaristic legacy path of the exploration age, you have to get 12 points from settlements in the Distant Lands. You get 1 Point for each of your own founded settlements. These get doubled if you conquered the settlement or converted it to your religion - or even 4 Points if it is both.
Scientific Legacy Path
To acquire all milestones of the scientific legacy path of the exploration age you need to have 5 districts in your cities with 40 total yields each. You can achieve that by placing specialists on the districts.
Modern Age
Cultural Legacy Path
To acquire all milestone of the cultural legacy path of the modern age, you have to house 15 artifacts in your empire. You can find these artifacts in different ways (Museum building is required):
- using an Explorer Unit
- random narrative events
- overbuilding your own old districts and buildings in your settlements
Economic Legacy Path
In order to acquire all milestones in the economic legacy path of the modern era, you have to gain 500 Railroad Tycoon Points. In order to get those, you need to manufacture goods in a factory in a settlement that is connected to your Rail or Port Network. To create a rail or port network you need to build at least 3 Rail Stations or 3 Ports in your cities. Then you need to place your Factory Resources (like, tea, chocolate, cotton etc.) in a city that has both a factory and a rail station or port. Each round you will then get a point for each of these Factory Resources slotted in your settlements. Keep in mind that you cannot slot different factory resources in the same factory - but you can add as many as you have of the same factory resource to a single factory.
The economic win condition triggered by achieving all milestones is not required for this achievement.
Militaristic Legacy Path
You need to acquire 20 Ideology Points to achieve all milestones of the militaristic legacy path of the modern age. You gain these points by conquering opponent's settlements. You get 1 Point before you researched an Ideology (Democracy, Fascism, or Communism), 2 Points after you got an ideology, and 3 points if you conquer a settlement of an opponent with a different ideology.
Scientific Legacy Path
The scientific milestones in the modern age are the following:
- Trans-Oceanic Flight (City Project, Aerodrome Required)
- Break the Sound Barrier (City Project, Aerodrome Required)
- Launch a Satellite (City Project, Launch Pad Required)
