Hunt: Showdown 1896 - Achievement Guide

A lot of weapons have progression like you can see here with a couple of examples, play with a weapon to level it up and unlock new variants to it.

When leveling up your hunter you gain upgrade points that can be spent to acquire traits. A hunter can have a total of 15 traits and you want to fill up all slots with different traits.







If you manage to survive and extract you'll earn experience and level up your hunter, keep doing that until your hunter hits level 50. But if you die you'll lose your progress and will have to start over.
Once you get a hunter to level 50, don't play with them anymore and recruit a new hunter. Keep doing that until you have 5 hunters at level 50. And keep in mind that if you prestige you'll reset everything including your level 50 hunters if you've been saving them.
When a hunter hits level 50 you'll be able to retire them but I would recommend you complete Five-Ace Hand before you do this. To retire your level 50 hunter you need to recruit and equip a new hunter, then click back on your level 50 hunter but don't equip them and open the action menu. Click retire hunter and confirm.

When you've killed and banished a boss they drop a bounty. Manage to obtain the bounty and extract with your hunter in order to complete the contract.
Go to weekly challenges and there you'll see what you need to do in order to complete them. Here are some examples of what the challenges could look like and there are new ones every week.

You'll become the soul survivor if you're the one absorbing energy from the Wellspring and when there's no energy left to drain or if there are no other hunters left in the game.








To be the first one to activate the Wellspring you'll have to close four rifts before any other hunter does.











There's no way to tell really how many hunters are left but you only need to kill the last hunter before the Wellspring is out of energy.
You need to start absorbing energy from the Wellspring before the energy amount hits below 250 and absorb enough energy for you to hit 250.






This is a rift which is located with the help of dark sight, you'll have to close 250 of them in total and only up to 4 can be closed per game.

To kill an Immolator without making them explode I would recommend using blunt weapons like the dusters, choke bomb or poison ammunition.













Sometimes you'll be lucky and spawn next to the compound where the boss is located. Use dark sight when you're at the compound to see if the boss icon is blinking which indicates that the boss is there. Don't investigate the clue and go directly to the building where the boss is.
Equip your hunter with for example the axe or saber, otherwise you can run around the map and look for example the sledgehammer or pitchfork. Locate the boss and kill it with your melee weapon.
Grunts are the most common monster and they spawn everywhere, equip your dusters and kill 150 of them in total.










Locate the boss and let no other hunter damage the boss. To quickly take down a boss I would recommend throwing a couple of sticky bombs at it except if you're fighting the Assassin, it's quite tricky to take him down with explosives.
















Kill any monster like grunt, immolator, hive, etc. with headshots.

Kill an enemy hunter however you'd like.
This require some good accuracy and precision to kill enemy hunters by shooting them in the head.

First you need to pick the Assailant trait for your hunter then you want to run around on the map until you find a sledgehammer. Finally you want to find an enemy hunter to kill with the sledgehammer throw. This can be tricky to pull off so you could have a group of people and try to get into the same game and help you out.





























Equip your hunter with a fire, poison and concertina bomb. Jump into a match and throw all of them right in front of you then interact with them.

Step inside a toilet and close the door behind you to hide.



















This is a clue which is located with the help of dark sight, you'll have to investigate 250 of them in total and can only be found when playing the normal bounty contract.













Go around the map and look for both the gramophone and the piano, you need to interact with both of them in the same match.


Equip your hunter with an axe so you're able to break down doors and I would recommend a stamina shot so you don't need to wait for the stamina to regenerate.








These are spread out around the map, they contain either chickens, dogs or nothing inside of them. Find the ones that contain chicken and then you want to shoot the lantern that's hanging above it.
