Just like my other guide, this is much more motivated for just myself to use a cheat sheet with the Steam overlay feature. If it happens to help you, I'm glad!
TU1 Update Redundancy
Fledgling Hunters! It will be some time before you're able to access the Grand Hub.
Once you're able to... this guide is somewhat redundant. While you will still want to maintain a supply of ingredients for various purposes, the canteen present in the hub makes most other meals obsolete aside from a few instances. This is mostly in due part to how the village meals provide far more substantial stat bonuses than that of your own cooking, and using meal vouchers to get these buffs on demand outclasses doing such. There are some food skills exclusive to your own cooking for some niche scenarios, but most of the time canteen meals will still be the easier option.
In addition to the first title update, it would appear that the barrel bowling available in the hub has also been buffed to reward significant amounts of meal vouchers. By simply stockpiling barrel bowling vouchers, you can wait for a day that's easy for you to get high scores. The easiest means to do so is with villager trading. The infamous Suja trader will, occasionally, trade glass algae variants for bowling vouchers, which in turn can get you meal vouchers.
There are also, occasionally, event quests that reward meal vouchers; such as the infamous Gravios Blockade quest. Rathian and Chatacabra arena quests are also able to reward meal vouchers.

While fighting Congalala, it is possible to get them to drop their own mushrooms, occasionally dropping a truffle the same way special slinger ammo types do. It can either be knocked out of their tail's grip or their arms as they attempt to eat it for their various breath attacks.
