The puzzle is fairly easy when you tackle the wants of Eve first. The common trait in this puzzle is the remote controllers on the presents. So Bob, Fia and Eve get presents with remotes. Dan can only get the remaining present which is not the cat and Cal is getting the remaining polka dot present. From there one the rest is almost trial and error but really easy to figure out.
