How to Change your Saved Folder Location with the Steam Version.
So in previous Football Manager games, Sports Interactive gave us the option within the In Game Preferences to move the location or pick a new location for our Save Data Folder. This means for players who love to download lots of graphic packs, tactics, schedule or databases you can have them on a different hard drive on a much easier to find folder then the default folder the game chooses which is on your Windows Drive and in your My Documents Folder.

To make the change to your save data folder's location, first create a save folder anywhere you want on your PC on any hard drive you prefer.

Then within Steam, go to Football Manager 26 and click the COGWHEEL to manage your game, and choose Properties from the menu that pops up.

On the screen that now opens, locate the LAUNCH OPTIONS box and in that enter: --user_data_location="PATH"

Obviously replace the word PATH within the quotation marks with the actual path of your save folder. For me this is F:\FM26 Save Data so my launch options looks like --user_data_location="F:\FM26 Save Data"

Close the properties screen now and your changes are saved. Launch the game and it will automatically recreate the save files in the new location for you. Now when you download your mods, graphic packs etc, remember to install them to this new custom location.
