1. How to Enable the Steam Console
- Close Steam completely. (Optional may be needed for some users)
- Press Windows Key + R or Type Run in the windows search bar
- Type "steam://open/console" in the Run window
- Launch Steam—you should now see a Console option next to your Steam name.
2. Find the Correct Depot ID
- App ID (Game ID) – 3244220 (for A Game About Digging a Hole)
- Depot ID – 3244221
- Manifest ID (specific version) – 7401525020583631768

3. How to Download the Old Version
- Open the Steam Console
- Type (or paste) the following command and press Enter:

4. Replace the Current Game Files
- Navigate to your game’s install folder (usually Steam\steamapps\common\A Game About Digging a Hole).
- Backup your current game files (copy them somewhere else).
- Copy the old version files from the depot folder into your game directory, replacing the existing files.
5. Prevent Steam from Auto-Updating
- Right-click the game in Steam > Properties > Updates.
