how to regen Essence

1.) you can do this anytime after you land on the first harbor town

2.) go towards Paradis and hug the outer western wall of the city going north

3.) eventually there is a big balcony with partially crumbled floor; there is a statue holding a lantern in its right arm inside that balcony

4.) click on the lantern to get to a chest with the "Ring of Slow Essence"

... profit

That ring makes spellcasting a viable profession. You start each combat with max Essence and can cast away. If you accept the gift at the Adras stone in the bears grove and have gotten the godlike healing spell you also can start combat with max health and without prior consuming potions and stuff.

1.) there is a warehourse in the harbor town you start at; it wants a key but you can enter through the roof without the key; now get "Giuliana's Shipment" inside the warehouse

2.) defeat the poisoned bear in its grove as part of the first main quest

3.) go into Paradis; its a big town; in the east of the town there are stairs up to a house named the "The Mermaid's Den" there is a woman named Giuliana inside; she does not have a quest marker above her head

4.) start conversation with, give the shipment from 1.) and be nice to her

5.) you get an amulet called "Night-Mistress' Favor" that regens Essence out of combat when near your companion
